Strategic Inclusion Visit:  Tracking and Monitoring

Outline
This visit will support the implementation and use of tracking systems and how to use the data to identify gaps in provision and progress in order to improve outcomes for children in the setting. It will support you to identify which children are at risk of delay and what can be done to support their progress.

Prior to the visit you will have the opportunity to discuss exactly what you would like the focus of the visit to be and to identify the intended outcomes. 

Outcomes
The visit can be designed to meet your own specific needs but could include elements of the following:

Use of the Kent Progress Tracker Tool

Use of the Ofsted CIF to support managers in preparation for inspection

Use of the Ofsted Common Inspection Framework to support managers in preparation for inspection

Information about and use of the Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP) 

The effectiveness of the monitoring of children’s progress and interventions where needed, to ensure gaps are narrowing for groups of children or individual children identified as being in need of support

Joint tracking of selected children or vulnerable groups to support management responsibility to undertake such work

Support to ensure the progress check at two or Joint Review at Two is fully embedded into setting practice and that practitioners are aware of their responsibility to develop a targeted plan to address any emerging delays

Three or Six Hour Adviser Visit

A three or six hour adviser visit with written report and follow up telephone call, to discuss impact of implementation of the agreed actions.
