Mud, Mud, Glorious Mud!

Outline
This hands-on workshop will take place outside and as the name suggests this will get messy! Practitioners will need to dress appropriately. The workshop will explore the benefits of mud play, including mud kitchens, on young children’s learning and development. During the session practitioners will discover the potential of mud and identify how it supports the characteristics of effective learning as well as securing their own skills in mud play. 

Outcomes
After attending this course, you will be able to:

Identify the benefits of mud play in supporting young children’s learning and development and share these with children’s families

Develop ideas, be creative and share skills in mud play

Provide suitable materials for mud play and mud kitchens

Skilfully support and enhance children’s mud play.

As well as having had the opportunity to reflect on your practice and receiving tailored guidance and support from an experienced Early Years and Childcare professional.
