Carla Nolan - Early Years Improvement Adviser

I am an enthusiastic and highly motivated Early Years practitioner and my commitment and passion for the sector allows me to inspire, motivate and engage the workforce. I strongly believe that by using role-modelling, mentor-coaching techniques, empowerment and engagement, high quality learning experiences can be created - ultimately resulting in improved outcomes for all children. I have a degree in Early Childhood and Health Studies and hold Early Years Professional Status.

I have over 12 years’ experience working in the childcare sector and bring theoretical and practical knowledge from a number of diverse fields having held positions at practitioner, deputy and manager level within settings, as well as supporting Out of School and holiday club provisions. In addition I have led on the facilitation of a national Early Years Professional Network group for a multi-national childcare company in which I held additional responsibility providing advice and support to settings within the south-east, whilst ensuring newly registered provisions offered highly enabling learning environments, and leaders were competent in complying with Safeguarding and Welfare Requirements and the Company’s policy.  I am currently the Early Years and Childcare Service representative on the Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) preventative group.

In my spare time, I enjoy sewing and baking as well as being adventurous (hiking, quad biking, sky diving, ice-climbing).
