The last few places are available for the 2017 Improvement and Achievement Award.  This much valued Award is an inclusive quality and improvement scheme that enables leaders and practitioners to evaluate and reflect on their own practice, and to bring about quality improvement in the setting with the aim of improving outcomes for children and strengthening leadership for learning.

It is reported that there is a direct correlation between settings taking part in the Award scheme and an improvement in Ofsted judgements.  60% of settings on our 2016-17 cohort received Outstanding judgements while completing the award, with 40% securing a Good judgement.

High quality learning experiences are critical to ensure the best outcomes for children as they reach the end of Reception year and develop their readiness as lifelong learners.  The Award scheme aims to improve outcomes for children by increasing their levels of learning and development and by narrowing achievement gaps, so that all children and young people achieve their potential and become motivated learners.

One of our 2016 alumni had this to say about the Award:  “We have enjoyed doing the Threads of Success award this year. Staff have benefited through increasing their knowledge through specific tailored training thus creating a confident team and the impact on the children can be seen through their engrossed prolonged play at new and exciting activities.”  Culverstone Green Nursery (Enhancing Level)
