Open-Ended, Exploratory Play

Have you ever wondered why a cardboard box is more interesting than its contents to a two year old? You will explore the theories that relate to natural materials and the principles that underpin open-ended play.

This half day training will support you to:

• explore the meaning and value of open-ended play

• discover activities that will support children’s natural curiosity

• consider how exploratory play helps children foster the characteristics of effective learning.
